Advanced ultrasound diagnostics
Modern ultrasound diagnostics allow important organs and blood vessels to be examined gently, without radiation and at an early stage. These examinations can help detect various conditions early and assess individual risk factors more accurately.
As an individual health service, we offer, among other things, ultrasound examination of the neck vessels, duplex carotid sonography, as well as echocardiography. We will be happy to advise you personally on whether one of these examinations is useful for your preventive care or more in-depth diagnostics.
Duplex carotid sonography
Duplex carotid sonography is a painless ultrasound examination of the carotid arteries for the early detection of stroke risk. Using a special ultrasound probe and Doppler technology, both the structure of the vessels and the blood flow can be visualized. Possible narrowing or deposits can thus be identified.
Especially in the presence of risk factors such as high blood pressure, diabetes, elevated blood lipids or previous TIA or stroke symptoms, this sonography helps us plan targeted prevention or treatment.
Echocardiography
Echocardiography, or cardiac ultrasound, is a painless ultrasound examination of the heart that allows us to assess the heart's structures and function in real time. It complements resting and exercise ECGs because it enables direct evaluation of the movement, size and pumping capacity of the heart.
Particularly in the presence of risk factors such as high blood pressure, a family history of heart disease, diabetes, or symptoms such as shortness of breath, palpitations or reduced performance, cardiac ultrasound provides valuable additional information.
We discuss the examination results with you in detail and explain what they mean for your heart health and which further steps may be appropriate.
