Sonography (ultrasound diagnostics) is a safe, gentle and radiation-free imaging examination that allows us to make structures and organs in the body visible. It is ideally suited to clarifying a wide variety of complaints and for preventive care because changes in the organs can be assessed in real time.

One important examination in our practice is thyroid sonography: this allows us to display the size, shape and condition of the thyroid gland in detail and to examine it for nodules, cysts or other changes. This examination is quick, low-risk and requires no special preparation.

We also offer abdominal sonography, meaning ultrasound of the abdomen, in order to assess the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, kidneys, spleen and large blood vessels. This enables us, for example, to identify and, if necessary, investigate further causes of abdominal pain, organ-related changes or masses.

Other ultrasound examinations that we offer include duplex carotid sonography and echocardiography.
