Keeping an eye on your health with preventive examinations
Regular health check-ups are an important part of preventive care: they are used to detect health risks such as cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes or kidney disease at an early stage, often long before symptoms appear. Statutory health insurance providers cover the cost of this check-up: insured adults can use it once between the ages of 18 and 34 and every three years from the age of 35 onward.
As part of a check-up, we first discuss your medical history and risk factors, carry out a physical examination including blood pressure and pulse measurement, and evaluate laboratory and urine findings. We then review the results together and advise you on possible preventive or health-promoting measures.
In addition to the general check-up, we offer a range of age-specific and sex-specific preventive examinations, known as screenings. These include:
- Colorectal cancer screening
- Abdominal aortic aneurysm screening
- Prostate cancer screening
- Skin cancer screening
With regular health check-ups and targeted screenings, you can keep an eye on your health and plan preventive steps together with us in good time.
